Jesse grew up near Oakland in the San Francisco Bay Area. He unknowingly developed a penchant for the arts early on, memorizing Seinfeld stand-up routines and reciting them to anyone who would listen.
Though comedy was his entry point into performing, he fell in love with acting in high school thanks to writers like Neil Simon, David Ives, Arthur Miller, David Mamet, Ken Kesey, and Mary Zimmerman. While in college at the University of Puget Sound, he performed every chance he could get, from student theater to the on-campus improv comedy troupe Ubiquitous They. He started his professional career in Seattle after graduating with a BA in Creative Writing and Theater Arts. Highlights include Ludie Watts in Horton Foote's The Trip to Bountiful, Bobby in Dennis Lehane's Coronado, and Don in Leonard Gershe's Butterflies Are Free, among a host of original works. Jesse moved to Los Angeles in 2014 to pursue a career on camera. He has kept his skills sharp through a multitude of projects in LA, including stage combat choose-your-own-adventure shows, stunt and motion capture workshops, improvisational training, and further studying his craft, both independently and in a variety of scene study and industry classes and workshops. He can also be found in the currently running Dos Equis "game day" campaign. In his spare time, he loves to learn about both sides of production. He has a professional photography business, and writes and edits both scripts and grants. When he's not working, he likes to run, ski, backpack, watch TV and movies, and play a lot of video and table top games... not necessarily in that order. |
